By air

Ghent is only 45 minutes from the international airport of Zaventem 'Brussel Airport', where flights arrive from and depart to more than 70 destinations. On the lowest level you will find the airport’s own railway station, Brussel-Nationaal-Luchthaven, accessible by lift and escalator from the arrivals hall. There are several connections to Ghent.  

Brussels South/Charleroi airport is 70 minutes from Ghent. There are more than 20 bus connections from the airport to the capital every day. From there frequent train connections to Ghent are available. There are also bus connections from the airport to Charleroi-Sud railway station. Trains for Ghent can also be boarded there. A ticket that combines the bus and train services can be purchased at the Airport Ticket Desk. Nine times a day a shuttle bus travels between Charleroi Airport and Bruges via Ghent, making our city more accessible to tourists visiting Flanders via Charleroi Airport. The bus service is offered by Flibco and stops near the Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station.

The other Belgian airports (Ostend, Antwerp and Liège) receive flights from various European cities and have easy direct connections to Ghent.

By train

Ghent is easy to reach by train from all Belgian and European cities and is only half an hour from Brussels South Station and 45 minutes from the international airport of Zaventem 'Brussel Airport'. The two main stations in Ghent are Gent-Sint-Pieters Station (closest to the venue) and Dampoort Station.

Belgium is easily reached by train from the UK thanks to the Eurostar. The Eurostar stops in Brussels South Station which is only half an hour from Ghent. 

Travelling from the Netherlands, France or Germany? The Thalys stops in Brussels South Station which is only half an hour from Ghent. 

By coach

Eurolines runs daily coach services to more than 500 destinations in Europe. Ghent is one of them. You can book your journey at their website.

VENUE

Campus Kantienberg (Voetweg 66, 9000 Gent) and Campus Kattenberg (Kattenberg 9, 9000 Gent), right in the center of the student area, are located on walking distance from each other, from the city center and public transportation.

By train

It is a fifteen minuteen walk or ten minute bike ride from the Gent-Sint-Pieters station. Take the Koningin Astridlaan, continue through the Citadelpark and the Kunstlaan. On the Kunstlaan, take a left onto Kattenberg. When coming from Dampoort Station, we suggest taking public transportation.

  • From Sint-Pietersstation take bus 34, 35, 36, 55, 57, 58, 70, 71, 72 or 77 and get off at stop ‘Heuvelpoort’. Walk through Overpoortstraat and take a right onto Kunstlaan and turn right onto Kattenberg.
  • From Dampoortstation take bus 34, 35, 70, 71, 72, 77 of 78 and get off at stop ‘Heuvelpoort’. Walk through Overpoortstraat and take a right onto Kunstlaan and turn right onto Kattenberg.

By car

You can park your car at the underground car park of Sint-Pietersplein.

Campus Kantienberg

By train

It is a fifteen minuteen walk or ten minute bike ride from the Gent-Sint-Pieters station. Take the Koningin Astridlaan, continue through the Citadelpark and the Kunstlaan. The Voetweg starts at the end of the Kunstlaan from where you can already the campus. When coming from Dampoort Station, we suggest taking public transportation.

  • From Dampoortstation take bus 34, 35, 70, 71, 72, 77 of 78 and get off at stop ‘Heuvelpoort’. Walk through Overpoortstraat, Stalhof and Benedictijnenstraat to the campus at Voetweg.

By car

You can park your car at the underground car park of Sint-Pietersplein.
