European network of living labs: Innovation ecosystems following the quadruple helix model

In this session the Sparkcentres of HAN University of Applied Sciences – where citizens, professionals, students, teachers, and researchers work together to tackle societal challenges – will be used as an example of how living labs can be used for research purposes and development of practice/society according to the quadruple helix model. In addition, working principles of (research in) living labs will be presented.

Learning outcomes

Participants will gain insights in the ins and outs of working mechanisms of doing research in living labs. 

About Nabila Zinad and Dr. Wietske Kuijer-Siebelink

Wietske Kuijer-Siebelink is senior researcher at the HAN University of Applied Sciences, research Centre Public Affairs. She works in the domain of interprofessional collaboration and education and is actively involved in research and development of innovative work-based learning within the domain of health and socials studies of the HAN, the so called 'Sparkcentres'. She graduated as a human movement scientist in 2002, and got her PhD in Medical Sciences in 2005.
